Do-It-Yourself Noise Control Products

Acoustical Foams
McGill AirSilence's acoustical foams are flexible polyurethane polyester. They provide excellent noise absorption and are available with different thicknesses and facings.

Vinyls
Our vinyl noise barriers and mats are fused vinyl sheet loaded with high-density, inert fillers that block airborne noise. They are easily installed on floors, draped on walls, or used as curtain walls. They are available in several densities for different applications.

Acoustical Linings
Acoustical linings from McGill AirSilence combine several basic noise control materials into a simple, multi-layered composite. Two basic linings satisfy most applications—absorbing foam added to a vinyl mat, and absorbing foam added to damping materials. Acoustical liners convert metal and plastic equipment covers into effective noise enclosures.
FIBERSORB™ material is used for applications where service requirements preclude the use of cellular plastic material. The basic noise-absorbing core is flexible fiberglass faced on one or both sides with aluminum-coated vinyl on woven fiberglass cloth.

Damping Products and Adhesives
McGill AirSilence's noise-damping products reduce noise radiation from metal surfaces by damping the vibration of the metal. Noise-damping materials are an effective way to eliminate buzzing or impact noise around conveyors, bins, and chutes.
Our noise-damping materials are polymeric composites of vinyl and graphite. They are available as a water-based compound for spray or trowel applications and in sheet form with optional pressure-sensitive adhesive.

Acoustical Pipe,
Duct and Casing Lag

The pipe and duct lag series has a loaded vinyl aluminum foil-faced noise barrier. For added noise control, an optional quilted fibrous glass decoupler that allows the vinyl barrier to float independently can be specified. Model PDL is commonly used to quiet noise in piping and ductwork, heat exchangers, valves, custom acoustical jackets, fan casings, and pumps.

Pneumatic Silencers
Our pneumatic silencers quiet excessive noise from control valves by up to 30dBa reducing the velocity and turbulence of the exhaust airflow. They are made from tough, high-density polyethelene and are virtually shatterproof.

High-Thrust Air Nozzles
Our high-thrust air nozzles are recommended for cleaning wands, parts drying, part ejection, and other compressed air blow-off applications.
